Referral Fee Contract Disclaimer

What this agreement is for

Referral Nova supports one kind of agreement: a referral fee agreement. It records what one member will pay another when a referral turns into business. That is all it is for.

It is not a service agreement, a partnership agreement, an employment agreement, a non-disclosure agreement, or a contract for the work itself. If you need one of those, use your own attorney — not this form.

Who the agreement is between

The agreement is between the two members who sign it. Only those two. Referral Nova is not a party to it. We provide the form, hold a copy for both sides, and record the signatures. We do not negotiate it, guarantee it, enforce it, collect on it, or arbitrate it.

Referral Nova takes no share of the fee

The referral fee is agreed between the two members and paid between the two members. Referral Nova takes no percentage of it, no commission on it, and no cut of any kind. We never handle the money.

It has no connection to your Referral Nova subscription either. What you pay us for your membership and what you agree to pay another member for a referral are two entirely separate things, and neither affects the other.

What Referral Nova is not responsible for

We accept no legal responsibility or accountability for any agreement made here — not its terms, not its performance, not whether a fee is ever paid, and not whether a referral is honoured. Any dispute is between the two members.

Ending an agreement on Referral Nova ends the record we hold. It does not by itself settle, void, or alter any legal obligation the two of you have to each other. Nothing on this platform is legal advice.

Please use a lawyer for the real thing

This form exists to make one narrow, common arrangement easy to write down. For anything that carries real weight for your business, we genuinely encourage you to have a qualified attorney draft or review it. That is not a formality — it is how you protect what you have built.

Referral fees are regulated in some professions

In some professions and some states, paying or receiving a referral fee is restricted or prohibited outright — real estate and mortgage lending, law, healthcare, insurance and financial services among them. You are responsible for confirming that a referral fee is lawful for your profession and your jurisdiction before you agree to one. Referral Nova does not check this for you.
